How is the content downloaded to Anytime TV? Is it using the internet or through the satellite?

Thanks
will.

How fast is the transfer rate? Must be super fast judging by the amount of stuff on the box. Why can't we get satellite internet?

I used to have satellite internet back in 2002. I used a dial up connection to send the data and then the information came back down through a PCI satellite card. It was with some German company called EON or something. The speeds were silly though - one thing that was good was a program made for users that used to push EVERYONES downloads to a folder on your computer using fazt/kencast. Used to get some incredibly interesting stuff come down!

Your box downloads content a certain number of times a day. After that content expires it gets nuked. If your Sky box is always tied up dual recording or switched off, then you will miss out on some content. I believe Sky even states that not everyone will get the same content because of this.

mine downloads stuff on all the channels I cant get, its a waste of space and time

it is a shame that......

mine seem to have recorded about 20 film from sky movies HD(a channel I dont have or dont want) so cant view them, it seems to go in splits and slurts as to whether or not theres anything good on it. at the moment theres nothing on..

bullit

exactly I have movies and multi-pack, everything today is HD (which I cancelled) or real time tv crap, there should be a update that allows you to turn it off and access the space
