We got a letter yesterday from Sky saying that anyone with a broadband connection and sky subscription can now access anytime +. All you have to do is connect your Sky box upto your router and activate the package online.

My issue is that our Sky box is downstairs and the BB connection is in the office upstairs. I use a Netgear WN604 Wireless-N 150 Access Point which can operated in bridge mode and I wondered if it would be possible to get a second and plug the Sky box into that down stairs.

Any issues with this method ? will WIFI bandwidth be sufficient ?

What i was planning to do was set the two WN604's up in bridge mode with one upstairs and one downstairs, then plug the HD box into one of the RJ45 sockets on the downstairs AP.

Would Sky specific configuration be needed on the downstairs AP ?

I'm going to install a couple of cat5e sockets, it was cheaper than buying another AP and will be a better connection also.

wired all mine up this weekend and moved the NTL phone socket as well whilst I was at it. I now have 2 RJ45 sockets in the front room and Sky Anytime + activated and working well. Wiring the face plates was so much simpler than I thought :)
