Is it possible to order the above without the Sagem router? I'm hoping that existing hardware (NETGEAR DG834G) can be utilised and the £75 setup fee reduced.

Thanks in advance!

If you mean can they guarantee what type of router you get then the answer is no :(

If you mean can you use your own Netgear router then the answer is yes - but Sky will tell you otherwise. The information for getting your username and password is available on the net :p

As for reducing the £75.00 setup fee - I cant see them budging on that one, but its always worth a try bud :)

I mean, if you already have your own kit then will they supply the service without hardware and reduce the £75.

Yeah, I doubt it :)

its not possible to have the £75 fee waived as they officially only support using their router.

They dont want people using their own routers, which is why usernames and passwords are hidden in the firmware. So if you're officially not supposed to be using your own, theres way there going to give you a discount to do it :)

Thanks dude.

Yeah but they used to supply the NETGEAR DG834G(T). It would be interesting to see if a non locked out one is considered as supported kit :D
