Quick question...

We have a sky box (normal model, not plus or anything) and i want to watch the sky on a computer tv tuner.

To do this i can use one of the two RF outputs. However, when i try this i cannot find a signal. Is this because the tuner i have is digital and the sky box output signal is analogue?

If so, is sky plus any different?

Thanks

Yes, the output is modulated analogue RF. Its the same on all sky receivers and as far as i am aware - every single bit of equipment with an RF jack.

Thanks for clearing that up.

OK so a hybrid one would be best. Suppose i went to sky hd in the future and had a tv card connected with the RF input. Would the signal getting to the tv card be HD?

Sorry, new to all this!

Nope, the RF output is the same on every device with a RF modulator, normal PAL video.

High definition is fed via an HDMI socket on the skyHD box, you would need a capture card with an HDMI input.
