If you can persuade a friend or family member to join sky, you both get a free upgrade to Sky+ and the installation is £30. I've just had mine installed.

Did you try xc, they won't xc your account so no worries there unless of course you agree to this.

Phone them up tell them you have had loads of problems with the current box and was looking at sky+ but can't afford it, you can't afford to keep the current package if it ain't working.

They will cave.

XC? what do you mean? sorry im probably missing something obvious

Yeah, good call. Will ring them up on payday and see what i can do. I dont mind paying £130 if im honest but £160 is just that little bit too much (maybe im just being stuborn!) and hell if i could haggle them too £100 on the head i'd be happy!

I've only been with them for a year and last month i got sky + installed for £49. (box and installation)

Ah re-read it now makes more sense Hehe, will try that approach first, then will ring up again trying "but my current box is causing problems etc" cheers people.
