I have just checked and it seems my line has been LLU enabled for Sky / Easynet and CPW / TalkTalk. Obviously i dont fancy migrating to BT talktalk.
i am currently with Eclipse and am paying £29.99 for 2mb uncapped broadband (this was before fair usage policies existed so im on the older flex product that doesnt cap)
My main usage for the Internet is gaming and surfing the net/downloading.
I am on the internet most of the time when I am not working/sleeping.
I download apporx 30-50gb a month but would not be happy with a download cap of below 100gb (due to increase in speed and with future services like tv on demand etc)
You are around 1.10 kilometres from your exchange (as the crow flies) and have
Downstream Upstream Connection Speed
7136 kbps 448 kbps
Line Attenuation
38 db 10.5 db
Noise Margin 7 db 25 db
With these stats what the likelihood i would be able to connect at the full or clsoe to full 16mb service offered by Sky (for £10).
Do they have a fair usage policy and what is it?
Does anyone here use sky broadband? What is it like for gaming?
