Im in the process of transfering from Virgin Media to Sky broadband, they offered me a package I couldnt refuse :)

Now I understand Sky have a 30Gb a month usage limit on the 8mb package. Is this strictly enforced? or are they usually leniant? Its rare I would ever go miles over this I think but was just wondering if Im going to get threatening letters for being 2-3 mb over the top. I mainly use it for surfing the net, playing Counterstrike, downloading the odd mp3 ( legally of course :p ) so cant see me ever being way over.

thanks in advance

I'm in the same process (apart from BT have buggered our line up, no dial tone), but I'm intrigued what this package they offered you?

If your worried about the limit why not go for the max package its not like its a massive price difference ;)

I pay for the 16mb and download a fair bit and ive never had a single letter from them. Im not sure if the 16mb has a limit though. Hope this helps :)

Basically the package we are getting is sky+ multiroom with sports, variety and knowledge packs, and the 8mb broadband.

What makes it so hard to refuse is -

1. The sky+ boxes are free
2. Installation is free
3. They are paying the £125 installation fee that BT are gonna charge to put the phone line in :)

I am looking at getting Sky Broadband installed in a few weeks time, I was under the impression the Mid package had a 40GB usage limit? *checks* Yeah, its 40GB :)
