ive had sky tv for over 12months now, ive had sky broadband for 5months nearly. can i cancel my sky tv? we dont use it

i know u have to stay on broadband for 12months same as tv but will sky make me pay for tv for another 7months

I had something like this when I moved out of my student house in the summer. I had to phone sky about 10 times and got told something different every time I did. First I was told I could cancel but not until a certain date, and then a different date, and then I couldn't cancel etc etc.

Eventually they let me cancel after I shouted at them and I had to pay what was left of my contract so it is possible, just be ready for a long haul.
 
Are you under contract for a package, or paying for each individually? If so you should be able to cancel and keep the broadband going unless it's the package for tv, broadband and phone. Which then i'd expect you can after the 12months.

I just got Sky BB and it does renew both.

You will now have entered into a new 12 month TV contract.

If you winge enough you can leave but may have to pay the rest of your 12 months TV subscription.
