SKY customer warning! - They have now updated their policy so they can track what you watch and which sites you visit - claiming to give you a 'personalised experience' - Highly advise you to login to sky.com > My account > My market preferences AND My personalisation and disable these features. If you don't opt out before your next bill they will use your information for marketing and tracking - BE WARNED! ;)
 
top man. took me a bit to find it. for me it was under my account> my profile> marketing preference/personalisation preferences.

very craftily worded too. You must tick TO opt OUT. My tired eyes almost deceived me for a moment.

Nah, your looking at the wrong one, the personalisation one is the next to the marketing one, that one was unchecked. :)

Although I did tick the one you mentioned as well. :p

lol - You guys should be getting a letter from them soon - as thats what warned me. Personalised content its sold as - YEAH RIGHT!!! lol

The letter mainly talks about changing the name of who publishes and supplies your sky magazine on the first page- at which point I lost interest and was about to bin it. turn over into the middle bit and thats where it mentions your cookies are tracked, preferences and the use of your personal information - Thats when i clocked on their game! gits.

I can't imagine it's for anything but to give suggestions about Tv content as they're supposedly launching some sort of recommendation system similar to Tivo for their HD boxes.

This has been out for years. Your too slow.
 
I had a letter explaining this through my door today so im glad you made this thread explaining what they were doing as i would have just thrown it away without reading it :D
