Around 5/6 months sky removed my sky phone package due to a error so all outgoing calls were barred but incoming calls still work. I phoned them and they said sorry and said they would re-add sky talk to my account. Anyway nothing happens and my direct debit goes out fine but the 10 quid or so a month for line rental. Internet works fine but cannnot do outgoing calls. Doesn't bother me as only person who uses my landline is my mum calling me. Now I have put aside the 10 quid a month incase sky notice... However, as they have failed to get my outgoing calls working and failed to collect the money can they ask for it the future?

Reason is my 12 month contract is up soon and I want to move back to BT to get Infinity.

Sounds like they have done a cease and reprovide on the line but forgot to do the provide part on their system. so the system will only show your TV (if you have it) and the BB. I cant see how they would ask for the 12.25 for however long as you havnt technically had the service working so wouldnt be expected to pay for it.

I think its something like 6 years in finance terms. I know this becuase a company we use at work tried to invoice us for a job they did more than 6 years ago that they had forgot about and it went unpaid.

If they had done a cease and re-provide the internet would have cut out?

Was just a stab in the dark but yes it should. The fact that his line rental has gone would suggest the phone package has been removed from chordiant (skys user account system). Without seeing what has happened then its hard to say why the line rental has gone but there is no change in service (both for the working and in fault services). Either way they shouldnt charge you for a service you arent actually getting which I think was the original question.
