Sky diving - when to jump?

Just to hi-jack this a little, I'll be doing a tandem jump in the next few weeks (when over in New Zealand). To be honest, I'm not a fan of heights and secondly it's never really appealed. Well, I'd love to know that I've done it but doing it really isn't something that gets me excited. Just reading about it gives me a slight feeling of dread... Any tips or re-assurance? I told my GF (who can't wait to throw herself out of a plane). She just looked up skydiving accidents she found on youtube and sent them to me :(

And.... she wants me to do a HUGE bungee jump (yep, seen those youtube videos too) :(

just do it and don't be afraid.

As for season time, I guess I can look at the forecast a little, I think they close from dec 20 - feb 5 ish.

I see what you mean regarding a day outing though, would be good to make a whole day of it, rather than rush straight back inside after freezing to near death on the way down lol.

Good tip on the layers though, that should make things a little more comfortable. (Although ive seen naked jumps, surely that must be absolutely freezing???)

ANy more opinions on spring vs summer jumping?

Generally when the plane is high up,in the sky. Hence the name "sky-diving".

Jumping out when its on the ground has sore consequences, and makes you look like a retard.

Don't say I didn't warn you.

very funny
