Sky F&F deal on again

Hi guys,

I am not sure if you guys can help, my situation is this.

I have a TV licence, yet I have no working TV aerial (or so bad I can't get a signal as it is just a portable one), I do not have an aerial in the roof space or outside the house. I do watch the odd tv channel for programmes such as the News (like it sometimes on the background), various sporting events and Top Gear. I get by due to having a broadband connection and do it the long way round by either airplay it from my iPad or just watch it on my computer.

I've been meaning to get the aerial sorted but if I could sign up to Sky for 12 months for a reasonable fee (then cancelling) so I get to keep the box and dish to get Freeview, then that would be perfect. As I have BT Infinity so I can get BT sports free as well which I know is avalaible on Sky. Therefore I don't need Sky's internet package. I also don't need their sports or movie package either as I have Netflix.

If someone could explain to me how this code works and how much would a monthly/annual sub would be, that would be great and if I could get one that would be even better too ! (if it is applicable for me)

p.s. AFAIK I cannot get Virgin in my area.

Many thanks !

you have to ask an employee of sky for a code, you need to trust message them your name and email address iirc and then you will be emailed a code.

it should be 50% off for 12 months (the full term of the minimum contract)

so whatever service you require from them should be half the price it is on their website, so take a look on there, build your package, then half the price.

you also get other benefits with the code like free setup, installation, etc , etc. so don't get too hung up on if they are asking for a one of fee on the site for something, using the code will make it free.

if your talking just tv with no line rental, no movies or sports, etc.

then it should cost around £10-£20 a month iirc depending on if you go for the basic package or if you go for ee+ with HD and 3D.

obviously the more you spend the more channels you get and the better those channels are imo, but if you have netflix you probably want their basic package, although you could possibly cancel netflix and use sky on demand and get the top package to access everything like atlantic HD stuff, etc.

My wife currently has Sky signed up in her name, am I correct in assuming I can just get her to call up and cancel and then I can re subscribe using a code from here and just keep moving the engineer date until closer the cancellation date? :)

Hi, can someone tell me how to trust message to ask for a code please?
Thank you

Hi MrBuzzford, I'm only going to give codes for those who have been registered on the forums for a while.

Theoretically, yes.

Thanks very much for the codes guys! Do you know if I can go through Quidco as well as using the codes, or is this not possible. Also, I was going to sign up to PlusNet for phone & broadband, and just use Sky as Tv, is that compatible, or will Sky kick off?

Cheers MissChief, the code was very much appreciated and has been put to good use already...my installation is on Sunday so couldn't be happier.

It worked out nicely for me because I was more than happy to keep my excellent virgin broadband, and was just looking to replace the TV and totally bin off the phone. :D:D:D:D:D

Merry Christmas MissChief, you've given me an early pressie!

The Sky F&F code I have is for 50% off Entertainment Extra & 50% off HD Pack, is there a F&F code that discounts broadband/TV as well? I noticed in the OP it says about 6 months free fibre.

There's no broadband offer at the moment with the F&F deal.

There's no broadband offer that I'm aware of unless it's a standard offer with sports or movies.
