Rang sky last month to start the process to get broadband from sky thought all was going well got a letter confirming it router will be with you within 3-5days and your connection will be activated on the 6th...The 6th came internet went live and no router so they got a phone call i was told it wasnt sent and they would send one out stright away 1week later and no sign of it. Is there anything i can do to make them get it sorted?

Customer Services should be able to send you a new router, takes literally 2 minutes. Failing that the direct email address for customer relations team is [email protected], give them a quick email with all your account details and they'll sned you one out.

Its probably stuck in the royal mail backlog, go and buy one and take it back when the one from sky turns up?

Don't do this, shops aren't router rental services.

Really? Wow... thanks for the heads up.

Tbh if you are that fussed about it, just get a router from somewhere, borrow, buy or whatever, they aren't exactly expensive.

Also try sending an mail or 2 to '[email protected]'

CEO of sky broadband. I got £20 back by doing this when they messed up my broadband. You might aswell try and claim 2 weeks without broadband or at least a week

Don't they send it to you on a letter? Man... that's very a very poor show.

I just don't think it's right to suggest the OP rips off some shop just for the sake of a few days net use.

Aye I guess you're right :(

Without the Sky router sky won't do anything, the dsl name and password are stored on the sky router and the settings for your bb are sent down your line and stored by the router.

nothing here just got in :/ ill give it till tomorrow

they sent a letter about some junk with 7th wrote on letter which was saturday the same day my router should have been sent out also , letter came yesterday so not like there is much backlog with post it seems

lol step dad just rang them , was told that the person only put it on system as a query so one hasnt been sent on the 7th but we will send one out to you within 3-5working days

You can get the username and password off but it requires a hack of sorts.

Hows he going to do this if he has no router to hack?

Sorry sir your just going to have to wait for the router to turn up. Im sure Sky will compensate you for the days you ahve not had any connection.
