Sky FTTC install question

I'm getting Sky FTTC installed next week. Currently router and master socket are upstairs and I'd like the router to be downstairs in future with VDSL box upstairs next to master socket. Will the BT Openreach engineer run a CAT5/6 cable from the VDSL box outside the house into the router in my lounge or they will only run internal wiring? If they'll run it outside will they crimp the cables to a custom length or they'll use a pre made cable thus making larger holes in the wall?

I doubt they will use anything other than the cat5 patch lead that comes in the box.

Apparently an engineer will run an extension for you to support fibre.
