SKY Go coming to Android next month! at last!

i think its the wrongly reported device name thats the problem not the phone its self , its basically a desire with a slide out keyboard,a quick google suggests its a known issue with this phone being wrongly reported on market and as yet no way to fix it

i would imagine it opens up for abuse, for it not to work on the latest android builds and devices is a complete fail. what example does that set?

edit: the sky go on your laptops doesnt have any restrictions. defeats the purpose of it then!

more info: The reason why it aint on ICS is because current UICS devices you cant block the HDMI from working.

Installs on my rooted, ICS Sensation but doesn't allow me to log in.

It will never work on rooted devices but it will eventually work on ICS

Wow, they don't let you use HDMI with it? That's the only way I'd use it now that I don't have a gold account on the 360 (Sky on the 360 needs a gold account) .

My phone's supported (Desire HD) but I have it on my iPad instead and that's much better; can prop it up on the dining room table and I take it with me if I know a game's on and I'll be away anyway.

How come it won't let me search for this app in the market on my phone? I seem to have an old version of the market since having a hiccough rooting my phone and am not sure how to update it.

I tried clicking the link from my browser in the phone and says the page can't be found although I can browse to android.market.com no probs. Can get to the link direct on my pc no probs. If I sign in and hit download will it give me the .apk to then copy over and install?

Yup I have my XBOX360 & PC connected to it but no go, No chance I'm removing one of those for a month cause they get used.
