well if you've just upgraded to ics on a sensation, then it must be a custom rom, meaning its rooted?. SKY GO doesnt work on rooted devices...

lol you must have posted as I edited my post but apparantly ICS is OTA for some sensations now inc some UK ones (not that mine is)

To use Sky Go on ICS you need to use the modified Sky Go app from XDA (although it still doesn't seem to work on all devices).

It should still run on rooted phones, it will just get stuff at buffering 0% on channels with DRM (all channels other than Sky News).

If you're running an unrooted ICS device, will the app from XDA work?

Would there be any chance of Sky Go coming to the Windows Phone operating system?

Apparently not:

Hi Folks,
We understand there is some interest in Sky Go for Windows Phone 7, your comments are being passed along to the Sky Go team however at present we don't have any information regarding development or plans to introduce an app for Windows Phone 7.

I'd always just assumed there was a Sky Go app for Windows Phone, since the main website uses Silverlight.

Most likely low demand for it, seems silly not to develop for a mainstream mobile operating system though.

Sky don't seem to realise this until about 2 years after the OS has been out. It is only in the last few months they even recognised there was another platform other than IOS. So expect to see Sky Go on Winmob in 2014 ;)

Look like Sky had stopped 2 devices, only manage 1 device, other 2nd device don't work anymore (cannot registered 2nd device) I had called sky and they say I only allow to watch 1 device and can change once every month. Before Sky allow 5 then 4 then 2 and now 1 device!

1 device is a biggest joke ever!

It is 2 devices & 1 change a month. They've never allowed more than that although there was a loophole someone found which has been closed now.

The 1 change a month is a joke & I still think it should be 3 devices.

The app is asking for my details on sgn running ics, haven't tried to see if it actually plays anything as I don't have an account
