sky HD broken

Ongoing, known issue with series links and the guide not populating properly. A planner rebuild will help temporarily. Press services, 0, 0-1-select. Highlight Sky+ Rebuild and press select twice.

Yep mine's been playing up for months now. On Sunday I recorded top gear and the box had then frozen and continued recording. I got in at 11pm and stopped it but it would have carried on until the hard drive was full if I wasn't around!

Mine is okay stability-wise, though I did notice the other day that BBC2 Scotland HD and Channel 4 HD are no longer in positions 102 and 104 respectively on the planner. They've gone back to the SD ones while the HD ones are much further down the list.

My box has gone pear shaped also !
No program synopsis, channel unavailable, no signal, broken series links etc...
My box states there is only one feed and not two.
When I swap the sat cables around I have no feeds at all
cable 1 > input 1 = good signal
cable 1 > input 2 = no signal
cable 2 > input 1 or 2 = no signal
so possibly cable 2 not working and input 2 not working.
This seems to have happened over the last 6 weeks sometime and have done the usual things to restart / force update etc..with no success.

my amstrad box has been on a major go slow recently. you can scroll through the planner and it can take 30s to catch up with the titles and descriptions. a reboot fixes it for about a week.

the box is about 4 years old now mind, might be unrelated.

wont be an issue for much longer, only got 3 weeks left on the contract.

Both my boxes need this doing with the added step of deleting the deleted items from the planner first. So annoying as have to keep checking to see if the next series link is there or not.

My bocx has the go-slow issue and is dropping series linked shows all the time - have not tried the rebuild but will do so tonight. Short of that may need to get a new box

I had to this too, without removing the deleted programmes a planner rebuild on it's own just wasn't solving the series link issue and the EPG was like it was downloading programme info on a dial up!

I had all these issues, tried multiple times to gtet it sorted by all kinds of means and sorted it by getting a Humax Freesat box instead. Stuff you, Sky!

Mind you, it did help that I spent some time actually looking at what we were watching and realised that we rarely watched anything that wasn't free to air anyway. :)

Mine is ****ed downstairs.

I cannot record or rewind BBC1 HD, every other channel works fine. It also takes an age to initialise, I'm talking like 10 minutes before you can use it again after a reboot.

We also had it just turn itself off completely mid recorded program last week, and it wouldn't respond to any remote presses.

Have you tried deleting all the deleted programmes before doing a planner rebuild? Mine had slowed down to a crawl with minimal remote response until I did this. Also I've noticed if the box gets hot it slows down as well so check the airflow and dust build-up.

Tried that Monday night after it locked up seemed to work until last night then just did same bs of locking up mid record no response etc, etc then had to do the usual unplug it carry on ,followed by the upto 20mins bs of initialising.
Seems to me the hardware just cant keep up anymore , they haven't changed the basic internals for years now yet keep trying to add more features :(
