Sky hd can you split hdmi?

we've been running a htpc from the study for a while now (sent to different rooms around the house via hdmi) Never reaaly got to grips with the blackmagic mpeg card we had to watch sky in said rooms.

I was wondering could i relocate the sky hd box to the study, and use a hdmi splitter and send it to the other screens that way? (that way keeping the hd signal)

i got a hdmi splitter (2 into 1) for my projector/tv, only cost about £20 and works a treat.

Thats what i was wondering, was hoping to run 4 screens off it

I got an 1-2 splitter for £29 and it states it is HDCP compliant. Whether that means it will split HDCP encrypted signals is another thing. If it helps it splits my PS3 signal whilst playing any of my games.
