Slightly off topic but if you're moving house can you order Sky, BT line etc. before you're there and arrange for the installation asap after you've moved in?
Or do you have to wait until contracts have changed hands and put up with a few weeks without entertainment?

Im in the same position and i wouldnt reccomend it, we exchange on Tuesday but the completion date could move about so best wait until you get in there and order it asap, should be able to come out witin a few days i would have thought, just have to put up with council tv until then :)

It should still look the same or atleast better than a standard tv?

I doubt it was the TV either, since they had about 30 showing them. The picture was blurry and very pixelated, I've seen this in a lot of the shops.
I think this is because a lot of the stores where they show the same feed to many TVs come through SCART and a lot of the time not even RGB scart.

You cant order sky till you have an active BT phone line, at least if there isnt one when they turn up they wont install it.

As for the phone I tried to sort it out in advance but BT made a total pigs ear of it all. I had no phone for 3 weeks after i moved in.

Cheers for the advice :)

Ninja edit: Thanks House.

I hardly watch any TV (unless you count Top Gear and its repeats on UKTV G2), because so much of it is tat. What I want to watch I have on my computer (*cough*) or buy the DVD Set such as Babylon 5.

Paying anything for all the repeats and mindless crap you get nowadays would make my mind boggle. I get the large TV package free with my NTL...er...Virgin Media phone. The money saved goes on stuff that is far more fun than the TV.

Each to their own...
