Sky High Definition?

If the box isnt too expensive & the subscription cost addition isnt over a tenner, then i might consider it. With the only HDTV in the house being in my room, i might as well take advantage, it'd be coming out of my pocket anyway, and it saves me the trouble of getting an aerial to use on my TV.

Sky Sports HD channel on now

Probs been on for a while never noticed

I know about the movies that was on ages ago but i think the Sports has just been put on.

Sky HD will be a waste of money just like Sky Movies is at present. Only for Sports will it be any benefit and even then if they put out a higher bitrate on the current platform we'd all see improved picture quality.

I get these come up on my TV but cant watch them. Im just on a normal sky box but have got a HD TV. Comes up with "this is not avalible bla bla bla, ring this number bla bla bla but the number is a con which just says "be first to get sky HD"

Anyone know how I can access the channels?

Theres no such thing as a SkyHD TV. I think you mean a HDTV.
You'll need a Sky HD Box to access the HD Channels. Which afaik, arnt out yet.

Lots of people do have access to those channels - i.e. the people who are currently demoing the SkyHD service before we the general public get it.

They are on there as Sky are currently setting the service up in preparation for launch day which i'm told is April 1(albeit you may be foolish to believe that).

I think some folks can recieve them through digital satellete tuners on PCI cards though.

Avforums.com is a good place to read up on that sort of malarkey.

Ah thanks, and I dont believe it will come out April 1st.. Its sky we are talking about here. I think they said it was going to be out for the World Cup for deff. But who knows.

Yeah that date came from Sky themselves when the register phoned up the number it asks you to call when you try to view the HD movies channel from a normal digi box.
