Hi,
I am wanting to put Sky+ on my PC. I currently have a Distribution Amp connected to my Sky+ box, and then I have coax going all round the house distributing the Sky+ signal to other rooms. On the other TV's, I just have to search the analogue signal and the Sky+ comes through.
Now, I want to be able to do this with my PC. If I understand, as the Distribution Amp is the aerial, I just need to put a lead from the Distribution Amp to the PC tuner, and then search in the same way?
Which comes to my question - I am needing an External USB tuner. Does it have to be analogue? I'm assuming if its just digital, it won't pick up the Sky signal as I cannot search? (By the way, my pc is in the same room as my Sky+ box, so changing channel is no problem - this way I just need the picture to appear on the PC).
I am unsure as to what I need. An analogue tuner, a digital tuner, a digital analogue tuner, or none of the above.
Please let me know if I have got this correct. Any help would be apprecaited.
