Anyone know the model number of the sky broadband router that they give you??
I have just set all mine up and all i can see is thats its by netgear also its dark grey if that helps.

Just trying to find out my username and so on

i think the OP is talking about getting there ADSL log on, cant help, i have the old one, which you can easily get the user name and password off, i think the new one is more troublesome
 
I think it's the Netgear DG834G.

OP, if you mean what crazyDAJT says, you should be able to flash the firmware with one from Netgear. They're locked down so you can't change the login details easily.

I just wanted them incase i needed to use another riouter or something just handy to have i guess
 
you can go to skyuser.com where they show you how to obtain the user name and password among other things.
 
I'm using my own rooter for my broadband, I have told sky about this on many a occasion, they really don't care. I have there one for back up, but my internet is much more stable now, the old one lost its DNS all the time!!! I have the old one, which you can get the log on details easily. new one, harder to do
 
The terms of the sky contract say you will only connect the gear they supply you to their network... As far as I'm aware, that only holds during the 1 year warranty/contract period.

I've flashed mine ;) Got my username and password out of it 2 weeks into my contract. It's a bog standard DG834GT.

Go to skyuser and follow the guides there.
