Just ordered sky and have been sent the letter with the viewing card. Sky say that they need the direct debit information before you can start viewing however i have not been sent the direct madate. Is this correct or will the technichian bring it with him? (he is coming tomorrow)

I never signed a mandate when i joined sky.

I gave my details over the phone. Im fairly surprised that you didnt have to either do the same or fill them in online during the order process.

Id ring sky and ask what their plan is tbh, or when the guy has installed it and tries to get the card activated, you might find that their is no account on file and you have to wait another day or two.

That's what I was thinking. Most big places don't bother with paper mandates any more unless they have to, as it costs more in admin. Over the phone or on the internet is the weapon of choice for taking your money these days.
