Skyline for sale...

I think they usually put them out there at silly prices due to the amount invested in them and it would usually save a person thinking of doing the same a lot of money.

Problem is with a project like this is half the fun is the journey and tailoring the car to what you'd want it to be. Running a car someone else built just wouldn't be the same for me.

I doubt he'll get anywhere near that unless he finds a special someone, but you can't blame the bloke for trying.

Not true actually an MR2 Turbo with a Celica final drive gets pretty close to that figure I believe.

And the chances of them getting there?

The car is clearly only going to be bought by the right person, anyone who knows the car will know what it is.. a lot of people on here wont have a clue.. Cheap car for the spec, but probaly worth more in bits

Nice car but its not that far off the asking price of its baby brother the GTR :D I could be wrong but I thoguht GTR's were selling for £55000 or there abouts.

I suspect this one is somewhat quicker than the new GTR. I remember someone entered a stock GTR into last year's Time Attack and got throughly pwned by older skylines (and a couple other cars too IIRC) that were lighter and had been modified somewhat. That RB26 engine is good for 600BHP with just bolt-ons which already is more than what the new GTR puts out. This engine is probably putting out a lot more than that.

That said I'm not keen on a car with nitrous.

Thing is though, this is the R33, the worst of the 3 R32/R33/R34.

While still awesome, I'd take an R34.

That's an absolute beast of a car. I'd love to have that motor, but wouldn't pay that much. Maybe £20k-£25k would be reasonable given the cars "status"

Huh ?? An MR2 turbo with celica final drive with how much BHP ??? I cant believe a 240bhp (?) MR2 will reach nigh on 200mph with what ever the drive is.
