Skyrim vs CoD MW3 sales?

Odd question I guess, is there anyway of comparing first week sales for the two titles? Obviously no right now but say in a couple of weeks how would one go about getting a comparison of sales figures for the first week after release for each title?
 
Uhh it's obvious MW3 will sell more, infact I'm pretty sure MW3 is amazon's biggest pre-order game ever? And I read somewhere that MW3 has shipped 6M copies already.
 
Yeh, I'm well aware that it'll sell more but that doesn't change the fact that I'd like to be able to do a comparison.
 
MW3 will sell big, lets face it game sales don't mean a the game is the best thing since slice bread.

Skyrim is a single player massive game, where MW3 is a short single player, endless online game.

Also sorry OP don't know where you would find sales stats :D
 
Only game that can compete with the cod series in sales would be GTA I'd say.
 
Lets face it, even if MW3 was the absolute worst game ever released with a multiplayer which crashed before the round finished, every time, it would still sell more then any other title.

CoD's been on a downward spiral since the first MW, nothing in MW3 suggests the trend's going to change, but so long as the drones keep flocking your pretty much forced to play it for your dose of online FPS action.

A bit like CS 1.6 in the old days, terrible game really but no one played anything else so =/

Yup, first cod game I have refused to buy on launch. Nothing from the footage and stuff I have read a has made me want to get it.

The Xbox Live podcast often reports some numbers called "NPDs", whatever they are. That might be some use to you?

And yes, as said, MW3 will utterly spank Skyrim.

Angry Birds and Wii Fit... Sonic & Mario at the Olympics sold shedloads too. But yeah, the only actual gaming franchises currently that have a similar reach are GTA and Warcraft.

Diablo 3 will sell a bucket load too, probably even get close to MW3 levels and on a single platform to boot.
 
Skyrim is being fairly heavily advertised. Cant see it selling more than 2-3 million copies tho. COD will be 15 million.
