On a more serious note, what cpu do you have and what's it clocked at? What resolution do you play at? Are you running with any texture mods? What are you changing in the control panel?
Monitor your vram using msi afterburner, if you are reaching the cap and it is constant you may be running into horrible stuttering. I noticed in Riften with open cities and the new textures + AA at 2560x1440 I was at the limit and when turning the camera at speed I would feel terrible stuttering that would make the game unplayable. Turning AA off solved the stuttering and although I frequently hit the vram limit in Riften, it is not constant, indicating I am just on the limit and I do not run into any problems. I do not manage a constant 60 FPS and didn't when I was running at 1080p, however I have not seen a large hit to performance due to the increase in GPU usage jumping to 2560x1440. The game is very CPU limited, if you have not overclocked your processor, then this is the best way to improve your frame rate.
What minimum FPS are you hoping to achieve and what minimum FPS are you currently getting?
Ive a i7 950 clocked @ 3.8 ghz. Reso 1920 x 1200 and no texture mods.
All i turned on in the control panel was the Ambient Occlusion...
Good job ive got msi afterburner and Kombuster to test.. Memory usage around 700MB.
Its mostly when im in underground scenes that it struggle - seems a bit jerky when i move the mouse around ... Got a new monitor -not sure if its that struggling to keep up though with a response time of a supposed 8ms?
Ill have to try without AA - but surely that makes it look a bit, grim?
