SKYSCRAPER

An ok film, nothing good or brilliant as such (apart from some CGI)... but the suspension of disbelief at time was so great it took you out of the film completely. Oh and Neve Campbell can't act. At all.

He's a giant steroid balloon doing brain-dead action flicks and isn't suited to much else due to how he looks. Even if he could act could you imagine him doing a seriously dramatic role? You just wouldn't be able to take him seriously.

This is where Dave Batista shows good, he's had several roles now where he can show his acting 'chops' off and even with the size of him he fits into the roles well.

Batista shrunk considerably since his wwe days, if you look at what he looked like size wise in the mid 2000's compared to now he looks like he's half the size he was.

The Rock is in a lot of dumb movies, but I find it impossible to dislike him. I never get the impression that he's taking himself too seriously. He chooses popcorn flicks, and enjoys what he does. He's never pretended to be anything that he's not. He's just a fun guy having fun.

Unlike Nicolas 'I Will Literally Do Anything For A Quick Buck' Cage...
 
Bored, popped this on. I knew exactly what I was getting in to from the trailer - a brain off, LOLphysics, convenience-everywhere load of rubbish with ridiculously OTT fight scenes, wall to wall CGI and a plot written by a 5 year old and directed by his twin brother.



Absolute tosh and I loved every second of it :D

Spot on, its like two 5yo's telling a story and they keep adding "....yeah and then........." 20 times each with each one being more ridiculous than the last. Anyone watching this expecting a classically "good" film is doing it wrong, its the MaccyD's you get vs the steak in a restaurant and sometimes thats just perfect!

I think people forget that some of the best action films the story is relatively crap, but the fight scenes, explosions etc are what makes it!

Yea...but those are crap in that film lol. I don't know why the bar on story and action has to be lowered so much and excised " but its dumb fun", its by the number mulch.
He did the other disaster one and I honestly cant tell them aprt. Same character type every single time now and they dont know characters made the "disaster genre" popular enough in the first place.
