Sleep...

getting 8-10 hours but its bad sleep, within 90 mins of going to bed I am back up being sick.

And it's just stomach acid.

But once it starts I can't get it to stop. I have to practically sit up and try and sleep and I cant :(

Used to have a lot of trouble sleeping, and waking up. Solved both with music. Quiet, familiar music set for an hour and hopefully I'm asleep by then.
In the morning, have some really loud, heavy music set to play as your alarm clock. Set it loud enough and you'll have to get out of bed!

Just realised if you have the right size tab, this thread makes the title "Sleep... -Over".

Where's the fun in that? :p

I'd advise jot down the sort of stuff you need now, condense it so to speak (doesn't require much brain power) so it's ready for the morning, maybe a little plan of your revision. Reason behind this is so you don't wake up and panic and achieve no revision at all. Get 3 or 4 hours kip then get up and revise like mad. Don't use coffee/ red bull etc however or not until at least right up until the exam or you'll crash in the middle of it.

I struggle to maintain a healthy sleeping pattern. I can function on 4 hours a night but I struggle, I find if I keep topped up on food I fare much better throughout the day. Some nights I really struggle to sleep especially when I have a lot of stuff to do (like now hence why I'm awake). To get around this I simply work in bed then fall asleep whilst working. waking up cuddling a netbook is somewhat confusing in the morning. Fortunately my timetable this term gives me Wednesday off and a late start Tuesday so I can catch up if need be this term.

06:30 and I haven't slept since yesterday morning. Hurray!

I usually have an easier time falling asleep with some sort of noise in the background like a TV or people talking. Maybe it's because I have to block the sound out and relax rather than just lay there in the dark hoping to sleep.

Sounds like acid reflux. Go to the doctor. He'll be able to prescribe something, ranitidine or similar, to suppress the acid production in your stomach.

On the subject of sleep, I cannot sleep with a "ticking" clock in the room. It drives me to insanity!

Absolutely, when I moved in with Gem she had one on the wall, first night I got up and took the batteries out.

I can't even sleep with a ticking watch in the room!

I prefer silence, but I can sleep through pretty much anything and anywhere just not repetitive noises like watches or drips and I can't stand muffled TV's through the walls.

I'm also the same as you with the films, it's weird because I can feel myself trying to concentrate on the film but I just drift off.
