Sleeping Dogs

The vice city sound track makes the game for me its amazing! I must say i loved the layout of SA even if it was big, does anyone remember that mission when you have to drive to the country side to take a photo? it took about 10 minutes real time to get there and you had about 5 seconds to pull it off lol spent ages on that darn mission and half the time i got bored on the drive down and ended rolling my car and killing myself :D

Also the jetpack was rather special would love to see that back in GTA 5

Anyway i hope rockstar take a look at SD and see how well they have done with it. Hope maybe multiplayer will be DLC but i doubt it :(

They did a great of of optimizing this for the PC and it runs great on my GTX 460 with everything on max except AA, SSAO and Shadows:

Everything is set to 'normal' in that screenie. Other than the high-rez textures, what else is set to max??

High Quality Motion Blur & World Density.

The difference in image quality between setting the AA & SSAO to from normal max is pretty small compared to the massive drop in framerates.

I'd rather have the game running close to 60fps and looking ever so slightly worse than having everything on max with framerates dipping to 30fps.

Really tempted it to buy it, should have got it during the steam sale (was looking at Sniper Elite V2 then). Its £30 right now (on steam) which is still not too bad if it is as good as everyone says it is.

This .. very tempted, but priced at $49.99 here ... (USD) :(

I only have a GTS 450 / i2500 , would it run OK (not on high settings, of course :p)

Been playing this for most of the day, personally I don't see what all the fuss is about :p But then again I am not really that keen on these sort of games.

Graphics are decent, amazing when it is raining and at night with all the light reflections etc. but the rest isn't that great, especially the textures. The performance for an old GPU is very good though, i5 750, 8GB RAM, 1080P and a 4850 512MB and the game set to mostly max (apart from shadow related stuff and the AA, they are set to normal and motion blur is turned off) and the game is very smooth, I get around 45FPS iirc.

However, it seems to be very buggy regarding M+K input, firstly the game didn't save the graphic settings, always reset them after saving them etc. had to save them whilst on the current screen via "E", then hit back space and back space again and when it pops up asking to save again, to hit "no" or something along those lines and just encountered my first lock pick just there, however, the left click button wasn't doing anything when the wee lock went green and moving my mouse up and down wasn't working either, had to use the "W" and the left arrow key as the "left" click button.

Because of all the comments in here like "easily game of the year for me" "really enjoying this surprisingly" etc. etc. :p

Don't get me wrong I did enjoy GTA III and vice city but all the GTA's since then have been poor IMO, there is a point where there is just too much to do, which IMO takes some of the fun out of it then. Quite enjoyed just cause 2 although it was more for the beauty of the game and the insane stuff you could do with the grapple hook etc. :p
