Well we have had practically ever thread about how to do things including 'what should i eat' and 'how do i dress myself' were just lacking the 'how do i sleep thread'....not really

Just wondered why I find it impossible to sleep on my back at night, same goes for a few of my mates ive spoke to. I can only sleep on my front, usually with hands under pillow and head on one side. I sleep on my side when im usually ill but thats because im freezing cold i think.

I probably only sleep on my back when im really drunk and thatll be when i pass out

Anyone else who cant sleep on their back or is it quite common not to?
 
My sleeping position has been really messed around lately due to sharing a single bed. Before I was sort of like you, but now it's on my side behind her then fall onto my back with my arm pinned down by her head.

Bit weird really, as I was the same as you before. Double bed in a few weeks time though, woo!
 
same i think i find it very hard to sleep on my back, my brain seems to stay more awake, if that makes sense.
 
I can't. Always on my side or front, back just feels uncomfortable to me. I also tend to get my hands firmly lodged under the pillow while sleeping.

Can't sleep facing the wall though.
 
Same as you geeza! I can't sleep on my back either, I have to be on my front with my hand under the pillow and the duvet over my head. Otherwise it takes ages to drop off.
 
can sleep on back or on one side only

cant sleep on the side which my heart is on as i can hear/feel it and it sorta disturbs me
 
Hmm i thought i was weird with not being able to sleep on my back,clearly not.

I tend to lie on my side or front with my hand under the pillow...ALWAYS end up waking up with a dead arm though. :o

I sleep ANYWHERE if im drunk.

I prefer to sleep on my front like Geeza described, but I can sleep on my back, at least I think I can, infact come to mention it I think I usually WAKE on my back :p

Nothing much else to say really.
 
I sleep on my side always have done and facing the wall if possible. Even in the womb I was always on my side. They almost had to cut me out. But at the last minute I played ball.
 
I cannot sleep on my back watsoever, maybe if I was REALLY tired or something I might be able to but I usually sleep on my front/side like most people.
 
I hate sleeping on my front, mainly because when I wake up in the morning, my arse is a good few inches in the air ;)

I'm one of these people that shifts about a lot during the night. I quite often wake up on the floor or at the other end of the bed facing a completely different direction. It can be really confusing.

I'm a bit like that, don't end up on the floor or the other way around. I do wake up with my pillows out of there case, the duvet have out and the sheet completely off.

Stupid thing is, if someone else is in the bed, I don't move.
