For first time in 2 weeks I have eaten something not on a diet plan. I didn't even have too much of it, just a normal portion size, on its own.

Now about 25 mins later I feel shattered, no energy to get up to do anything.

Any ideas why?

Ingredients:
ngredients Listing: Cooked Pasta (38%) (Durum Wheat Semolina (contains Gluten) , Water) , Minced Beef (22%) , Tomatoes , Focaccia Croutons (6%) (Wheatflour contains Gluten (with Wheatflour, Calcium Carbonate, Iron, Niacin, Thiamin) , Water , Yeast , Salt , Extra Virgin Olive Oil , Malted Wheatflour (contains Gluten) , Water , Onions , Cheddar Cheese (Milk) (2.5%) , Red Leicester Cheese (Milk) (2.5%) (contains Colour: Annatto) , Rapeseed Oil , Tomato Puree , Wheatflour contains Gluten (with Wheatflour, Calcium Carbonate, Iron, Niacin, Thiamin) , Parsley , Salt , Garlic Puree , Paprika Flakes , Oregano , Cracked Black Pepper.

I am guessing it is carbs and my blood sugar spiked and now feeling the comedown as its known...?

Yup sounds that way. I read somewhere that white carbs eg pasta, potatoes, white bread are really easy to digest so the blood floods to your stomach to burn them up which means less for your head and leads to the sleepy feeling you got.

You can reduce the sleepy rush by eating more fibre in your meals eg wholegrain pasta, wholemeal bread and by mixing in vegetables.

It also helps if you have a sugary dessert or fruit after a carb heavy meal as it gives your body the energy it needs to digest it.

You've gone from eating what I'm guessing is a simpler healthier diet to something highly processed. Your digestive system will draw every bit of blood and energy it can to break it down. Hence zzz

This is like when someone tries to make a joke during a conversation but goes too far and ruins it for everyone.
