Hey all,

I'm thinking of upgrade my rig's motherboard from a very basic Gigabyte s939 GA-K8NF-9 to something a little bit better...
I've been looking around in various places and I've come to decide that I'll probably buy either of the following:
- DFi LANPARTY NF4 SLI-DR
- DFi LANPARTY UT RDX200 CF-DR

Just wandering wheter anyone sees any big deal in buying one over the other.
I was a bit swayed by the crossfire board, but only really because a pair of x1950XT's would be nice, and they'd (probably, if my research is reliable) out-perform a pair of 7900GS's in SLi.

They're both looking to be around the same price and I'm definately looking for a good board in terms of overclocking (my 4600x2 is currently -humbly- stuck at stock speed) ;_;

Why are you planning on a dual-gpu configuration?

A single 8800GTS is better than both of those.

I'm thinking probably buy one (relatively) cheap gpu in the next few weeks, and upgrading with another later.
Well, I'm thinking about my options tbh, and even if I do only have a single gpu in it, it's nice to know that I've got the option for upgrading.
Like if i was planning on getting an 8800GTS soon, I'd go with the SLi motherboard, just so that I've got the option, if you know what I mean.

Well I'd go with the nforce4 chipset as it's the best s939 clocking chipset out.....and if you want a cheaper GPU at the moment get the 320mb 8800GTS...then later on you can throw another one in SLI or swap it out for something better.

Dual GPU configs are pointless IMO unless you are running a 30'' monitor or something.
