Just got aniother 7800GT to sli with my current one. Slotted new card in, inserted power cord to it and connected the sli bridge. Powered up and the pc dosent recognise my 2nd card. The fan on its spinning ok.

Tried new card on its own and its fine. Could it be my psu. Its only 485w and iver got the 2 gfx cards, 3 hdds, 2 opticals, and my cpu running off it.

Or enabled SLI via the little flip PCB that most (if not all) SLI motherboards have.

Correct, its no longer a problem, they don't even need to be the same manufacturer, so long as its the same core and the same amount of RAM.

Sorted it. No idea what was wrong. Just removed both cards, reseated them and checked the cabling. Now its working. Just getting some bench scores..

There not the same brand either, ones a BFG and the others an Inno 3D ( aka ocuk own brand )

Well the benchies are in and are in my sig.

Fior some reason 06 freezes on the first cpu test. I set it back to stock with no joy. so far games play ok.
