That's really bad advice what you need is 50 Amps or more on the 12v rail really not all 650's have that and I don't need to link to a review site to back me up.
Someone tried running 2x 5770's on a 40 (A) corsair hx520 psu and it wasn't happening guy had major issues so to say "any 650 psu" is just plain bad advice really.
just make sure you get one with at least 50 amps on the 12v rail.

not bad advice at all, reviews of the quality psu's will back me up easily, want some? any other the brands mentioned will provide ample AMP's

i think you missed the point... I'm agreeing with you, that any quality 650W PSU should do the job.

C64 is right though, it would be possible to build a 650W PSU that suppled less than 50A on the 12V rails, and it is that number which makes the difference. I was asking him to name one from a quality manufacturer that did, because I don't think there are any.

C64 was just in a mood, because i corrected him in another thread, so like a little girl, he came here to trash the post, ignore him.

and im agreeing with you thats its impossible for a 650w decent/quality psu to put out less than 50amps.

the only 650w psu that put out weak amps, are rubbish ones like, Qtec, winpower etc, but these arent really 650w psu, and could never supply that wattage, bit like a Hi-Fi when its rated RMS or PmPO

corsair hx 650 and antec do one not looked at the others just saying you need to check the 12v rail ratings are at least 50A and not just go buy "any" power supply without checking it.

Ok, the hx650 has a single 52A rail (although not sure how much it could supply when other lines are under load), and the Antec Signature 650W has a max load of 43A on the 12V rails...

OK C64, you have proved your point. DO check the amperage provided on the 12V rails, even for a quality PSU.

That review does not indicate that at all. The crossload test on page 4 shows the PSU providing 40.59A at 12V while the 5V and 3V rails are dropped low. When all lines are under load, it was providing 40.57A on the 12V line.

I fail to see how this furthers your argument.

Edit: Ok, the second review you posted shows that it will provide more than 50A under load - although, while running outside of spec.
