Hi,
I have an 8800 GTS OC2 640MB already and my second card has just arrived but Ive been sent the wrong one! The one I have is the 8800GTS OC 640MB.
Only difference between the 2 cards is 30MHz core, 50MHz on the shader clock and 100MHz on the memory.
Is it possible to use these 2 cards with SLI or should I send it back and get the actual product that I ordered?
If the performance difference isnt going to be too much then is there much point in swappng it up?

I'm fairly sure they need to be the same card with the same clocks and memory. But that point aside, why would you settle for something you didnt order?

Yea Im thinking that, but would then have to wait for it to be sent back then the new one sent out and Im very impatient.

Relax they will be fine.

The speed they run at is determined by the top card. So if you add the slowert one in the lower slot it will automatically overclock to match the existing card

But if you put the new one in the top it will run the old one a fraction slower to match the new one.

Ive done SLI loads of times you'll be fine :)

You can always load up rivatuner and overclock them. I've not seen a GTS that doesn't do at least around 628mhz

Cheers guys, Ill see if OCUK can get me the correct one quickly and if not Ill just get them to refund me the difference and stick this one in.

I would go for the latter (refund) option.

You have a very good chance that the new card will clock like the old, and if you send it back you will have a fairly big turn-around time.
