SLI vs Single

Just in case anyone else is having difficulty interpreting the technical information above . . . with regards to the GTX 470 SLI we appear to have a combo that draws between 579-740 watts heavy load/maximum load and under Crysis/Furmark runs at 96°C while being cooled by a fan emmitting 70.1dB!

70.1dB is *not* what we call in the trade "whisper silent" :D . . . and some people wonder why the reference GTX 470 models are dropping in price! £££

If Gopher04 is looking for a balance between power, temperature, and noise from his GPU purchase then obviously the GTX 470 SLI may not be the best choice! :cool:

Looking at the graphs posted by big.wayne the thing that strikes me is the 6850 Crossfire results. They really are quite staggering. Good for me as I like to game at 1920 * 1200 where possible.

Where are the charts from please?
