Slideshow software

I have a load of photos that i want to make into a slideshow with music to then burn to dvd to give to other people to play on their pcs. What would be the best piece of software to do this with? And would it be possible to use a piece of software which would allow them to be played on a dvd player?

If you just want a bog standard show use the one in XP.

However, if you want to add a bit of "action" to it then have a look at Magix auto producer. This bit of kit accepts still shots (and movie clips if you want to) and allows you to select a "style" and add a sound track. Depending upon the chosen "style" and the content of the a particular shot the software automatically pans and zooms. You can also choose to sync the pics with the sound or visa versa. There's also a simple title and credits facility and you can burn to DVD.
Amazing what you can do with 200 photos in an hour.
