Slight issue in trying to relocate Windows Temp Folder

Hi

I recently purchased a Samsung 120GB SSD for OS installation; I also have a 1TB HDD which I have partitioned (two partitions), I have managed to relocate a number of folders that contain various Windows files, from Internet Explorer Temp Files, FireFox Temp Files, download, My Picture etc. I was attempting to relocate Google Chrome, but even with help from Google Search and YouTube I was unable to successfully achieve this.

My issue is that I have noticed two Folders I'm looking to relocate; one being successful the other not so. I have successfully moved the TMP folder, but I am struggling in moving the TEMP one, this Folder is empty on my partition. I went through the normal process of Right clicking My Computer > Properties > Advanced System Setting > Environmental Variables, then subsequently changed the values to both, both are on F:\.

As I say, the TMP folder has successfully been moved, but the other TEMP folder is empty. I have also changed the system variables (the bottom window) to no affect.

I noticed this, when analysing files on ccleaner, TMP is on F:\ and TEMP is still on C:\.

I would like to know if there is anything more I can do?

I try and answer any questions you put to me.

Cheers

you're losing out on performance if you place temp files on a mechanical drive. i'd keep them on the SSD. it will be obsolete long before it runs out of life. it might fail randomly but then any hard drive is susceptible to that. that's why we (or at least i) keep backups.
