Slightly complicated parpage

Bit of a **** up on the shipping front (which I can't go into here) so the new kit won't be here until Monday :(

Never mind, from Tuesday I should have 5 quads running :D

Babyface_UK has been stomped :D

There is the possibilty of a temporary restomp as I have nothing else finishing now until about 14:00 and there's only a couple of hundred points in it but the stomp should be consolidated later today.

Not sure if I'll manage to hold off Snapshot until my stuff gets here on Monday but it'll be close. Might have to temporarily re-enlist the laptops (slow as they are - only able to crunch standard WUs and not very fast) to try to hold him off.

This is fun :D

I won't be dumping anything now until after 4 this afternoon but I'll have 3 WUs within 2 hours so there could be a stomp and restomp again today but then you should pull ahead for a couple of days until my new builds kick in.

Been a bit up and down but Snapshot has got me .........................

................ for now :p

I had a bit of a play this afternoon and managed to get some of the bits which wouldn't play nice before to play.
I got the E6300 working by using an mATX board I had handy and by borrowing 1 of the 512Mb sticks from the E6600 along with one of the PSUs I thought was knackered.
It took a while to get Vista installed but I got there eventually. Output at stock (1.8GHz) was 26mins per frame = 975ppd. I managed to get it up to 2.33GHz (board will only do 1333MHz FSB and the E6300 has a 7X multiplier (7X333=2331), output = 1334.
The restrictions on the FSB and the memory divider meant I had to run the RAM at 667MHz. However, due to the slowish RAM speed, I managed to tighten the RAM timings to 3-3-3-12. This E6300 has always performed well at low voltages and this time is no different. I'm running it at 1.2V in bios (1.136V in CPU-Z) - as a result, the temp at full load is 36c according to CoreTemp.

Plan for tomorrow is to set up the two new rigs first and get them OC'd and Folding.
Next, I will be taking the poor clocking G0 Q6600 out of this rig and putting it in the E6300 rig along with 1Gb RAM and replacing it with one of the new Q6600s and hopefully OCing the nads off it.

This should give me 5 quads, 3 of which should hopefully be highly overclocked and the other 2 should be running reasonably quickly.

Let the games begin :D
