Hi all. Don't know much about how sli actually works.

I have an Asus GTX 670 which I love but I want to upgrade. I cant afford to fork out silly money for a brand new 7 series, and doubt I'll be able to afford an 8 series when they arrive so I thought sli would be a cheaper option.

I can't find another Asus 670 on the market anywhere, they're like gold dust. Found an MSI GTX 670 Power Edition Twin Frozr IV OC online for £125. Good money?

These cards would work together right?

Main problem is space. I should have enough space on the motherboard (MSI 970a-G46) but it could be close.

What do you all think.

Avoid putting cards next to each other if they do not have blower style coolers, they will heat each other and the inside of your case up and the top cards airflow will be blocked by the second.

While a pair of GTX670s give a lot of GPU power, 2G cards are limited now (some games even at 1080p e.g. wolfenstein texture quality). I would wait to see what the 870s are like or buy a 780/290.

If going SLI have you considered second hand? Might be a few on the market soon I'd have thought!

Absolutely. Can't find an ASUS. They're holding their price very well. Looked at other brands though. They're going between £125-£200 each.

Will hold out a bit longer though. See what happens to the prices.
