Well pretty much as the thread title, I have just setup my first F@H client.

I have 4 cores running very soon with another 2 at some point later this week.

Not exactly sure what Im doing but it seems cool!

I think I am fine.

I have the client running on two cores on my laptop, I haven't setup any of the monitoring tools yet.

I want to see my name in lights!

If you're even remotely computery, please consider running the "smp" client. It works on linux which you can run on windows as a virtual machine so nothing has to change. There's loads of info about for that and we love to help :)

I will check it out, are we talking SMP as in multi CPU and if so how does this differ from running multiple copies of F@H ?
 
You sound like you know what you're doing, so:

Download vmware server
Download ubuntu
Set up vmware with 2 cpus and 600-1000MB of ram, use NAT as the network option
Install smp as per my mini guide (we'll sort this part out when you get to it)

And you'll see about 10x the points :) (literally)
