Hey, just setting up my new build and came across a problem on first boot.
it got to the partition fine screen ok quite slow, then came to a grinding halt when i came to partition my 1TB HDD. the partitioning of the 120gb SSD worked a treat first though.
my problem is that it took a good 10 mins to boot to windows after the hour install of windows and everything is slow in the boot process. when i finally twigged it wasnt memory or processor i unplugged the HDD and it booted in less than 20seconds.

ive googled this problem and looked at the AHCI setting which is set and cant think of any other reason why this would occur. Has anyone else experienced this yet?

Thanks for reading and sorry if this is a little hacked together im meant to be working ;)

Have you tried looking in the bios for the boot sequence and turning off all other boot priorities except your SSD?

Try removing it completely and having only your ssd in your boot sequence. I did this for mine and ignores scanning my hard drives (all 3) during boot up and loads a lot quicker.

If that fails i would test your hdd for bad sectors incase its abit faulty
