Hi

Having problems with a new build,

there is a seriously slow boot up time, and when I have tried to run processes together i.e. teamspeak and games it often freezes and crashes. There is also a black screen upon start up, the hdd has been formatted and a fresh win7 home premium installed. Even now the only installed things are the updated drivers.

The graphics card does not seem to be the issue, performance is the same with or without it installed.

The build is:

Cubitek MiniTank case
Corsair Vengeance 1600mhz 9-9-9-24 4096mb x2
i5 250k @ 3.30ghz
Stock cooler
Mini-Itx H67N-USB3-B3
Corsair TX 750W ATX
WD 640GB Caviar black edition
Radeon 6950 [flashed to 6970]

The motherboard has a max of 1333mhz, it states its running accordingly however the 2x vengeance ram are 1600mhz.

Tried with 1 stick of ram, same slow loading, any idea of what the issue is/could be?

Try downloading the HD Tune Pro demo and running a file benchmark / sector error check and health check on your hard drive to make sure its not faulty. That build should be super quick. Other than that I don't know what could be causing the problem other than your RAM stalling, or CPU stalling (if overclocked and not stable) which is very unlikely, but thats it. Let us know what happens =)

found the error it is the POS software that Gigabyte bundle with the motherboard. It was literally taking 30-45 seconds a time at the welcome screen.
