slow boot up

hi i just built 2 new computors

asus p5k se
e6850 stock
x1900xt
2gb corsair
wd raptor 150gb

gigabyte ds3l
e6750
wd cavalier
2gb ocz gold
hd2600 pro

now the lower spec one bots up so much quicker than the top one they both have clean copys of xp on them same antivirus etc etc

could it be my x1900 as i flickers a few times after windows slide bar and thats where mine lags behind the other
its done this on 4 different mobos in its time
any help apreciated

I've seen an X1300 flicker on my dad's computer and it does really slow down the boot as well but I haven't seen it with my X1950pro.

Have a look at msconfig and see what's loading at the desktop stage but as you said it could very well be that flickering.

Maybe try new drivers for it?

its done it ever scince ive had it and thats on all drivers scince it came out
