Slow Broadband!

Hi guys.

I'm with talktalk broadband for now..
I get 57Meg Down load speed. but on and off for last few days, it drops for ages to 0.60. Then it be ok for a while, then drop again. i tried resetting the model router etc.

They seem to think it's my side.
But we have 2 pc's a 2 laptops. i have tested on all 4, still the same.
Any ideas that i could try :)

I'm having a similar problem! i currently have 0.6Mbps down and 0.5Mbps up when its usually on average. 4.4Mbps down and 0.8Mbps up. Iv'e reported it to talktalk who have confirmed there is a DIS fault on the line and have passed it onto openreach. However Openreach have been on gone on my street now. They did some work on my street and have gone. Hope they don't think they have fixed my issue :(

Been just over a week now with this internet and all i can do is surf webpages very slowly. And everything i do is internet based :(

What a pain.. mine goes crazy slow also.
I want to leave them this year and get a whole package with t.v, and internet. Talk talk won't give me any good deals now, even after being with them for long time. So once contract runs out in march, I look else where. Even my sky won't give me another deal for sky t.v.. Oh well lol
 
That detected a fault..
Sent someone over, and he changed the modem to a all in one.

Nothing changed.

Only seems to happen in the evenings!, it's like they cut me down due to other using the net, or someone is using mine some how lol

Iv'e still not had any further progress on mine lol. Infact mine has degraded. Cant connect a lot of the time. Still have a open ticket and still in "repairing" for over two weeks. Been told its been escalated and i should have a update in the next 48 hours. Just want a engineer to fix the problem but im 100% sure the fault is not in my house anyway because of it being a DIS fault!

I'm leaving talktalk soon tbh. Moving house in a few month but going to bite the bullet and leave TT early. Not paying for a service i'm not getting!

Only thing i can suggest mate is keep on at them. I threatened to leave and thats when they seemed to pull their finger out!

Same here, i want out now.. every evening and weekends it get down to 2meg lol, or even slower. not sure why, they just talk B.s to me..

So not sure where to go in march when the contract runs out.
 
What does your sync rate do when it slows down?

Who's mine? You mean noise margin or SRN? It stays the same infact it was higher at around 6.8 to 7.2 SRN. Iv'e recently had my problem fixed as i threatened to leave as nearly a month with virtually unusable internet was a joke. Now its sitting at 5.0 SRN but at 4.2 meg downstream vs 0.5meg lol. Took a engineer less than a hour to fix the problem as well so takes the **** i was without for around a month.
 
That's not your sync rate. If an engineer fixed the issue then that points at a problem outside of TalkTalk's network as opposed to congestion inside it.
