Slow disk writes

while attempting to copy files on my Vista SP1 (RTM) system, im getting about 25MB/s write speed to a 74gb raptor

benchmarks seem to incidate i should be getting about 70 MB/s

and this is from gigabit network to disk as well as disk to disk. Any ideas where im going wrong ?

im not that bothered if thats about right

id never actually bothered looking at numbers before i tryed SP1, but couldnt remember how bad it was before. I'm doing a fresh install at some point, so will make a point of taking down the before as well as the after speeds
