I'm on Virgin 10mb and usually the speeds I get are always top notch. I'm connected wired through router. However, lately my browsing on Windows has crawled to an absolute halt, to the point where pages can take up to 10 mins to load, if even at all. At first I thought it was Virgin issue so contacted them to have them tell me everything is fine their end. So I scanned my comp for any viruses or something that may affect it, and nothing.

Now this is the weird thing, if I boot up into Linux my internet browsing is lightning fast which leads me to believe it could be a driver issue, so I uninstalled driver, and had windows install one and update it, still the same issue :(. Every other windows computer in the house that has wifi also has no browsing issues whatsoever its just mine.

Does anyone know why my internet will work on Linux but not on Windows? Anything I can try? :(

Well if you have dual booted to Linux and have no problems using the exact same hardware and no other machine on your home network has a problem, you have already proved that the problem is something to do with your windows installation.

As your on a wired connection to the router and you have reinstalled the NIC driver, you could test the speed of the NIC by copying data from another machine on your network. If you can copy at a good speed then its unlikely the NIC or driver are the problem.

Some of the time the fastest way too resolve a windows issue like that would be to just reinstall windows.

sorry to be blunt, but just because you scanned for malware/virus infections doesn't mean you don't have one. Quite a few viruses etc. know how to disable the major virus killers and successfully hide. Older unpatched XP machines can be rootkitted easily these days and you'll never get rid off it! Backup data, re-install and I'm guessing your problems will all be solved...
