Slow read speeds

Fixing a computer for a friend, just needs a clear out but thought I'd bench the HDD. The result is this:

Is it a cause for concern? Smart test is all ok, and no errors found on a quick scan. One of the noisiest drives I've come across though, sounds like the old Western Digital 10-20GB drives Nasty Packard Bell rubbish.

That's pretty much normal. The dips are likely to be other processes accessing the disk.

Okay, thanks for your reply.

Just needs a memory upgrade then. Vista with 1gb, not good
