Slow SSD help please

mobo - Rampage extreme 3

I brought a OCZ Agility 3 120GB and reinstalled my pc but the speeds are so slow :confused:

can anyone help me

Did you enable AHCI in the BIOS ok? Wouldn't do any harm to make sure you are running the latest firmware for the SSD also (latest is 2.11 I believe).

I think you'll find the marvell controller is your problem my friend :/

Yeah just looked at your picture properly. make sure you upgrade the drivers to 2.11 however I believe you still wont get the full speeds as you have the marvell chip, which doesnt actually produce sata III speeds. Theres lots of threads about this

Uninstall the Marvel driver.

Try using ATTO to benchmark a OCZ SSD.

I just ran 2 tests, one using AS SSD and one using ATTO on my OCZ drive.

AS SSD write = 56MB/s
ATTO write = 272 MB/s

How would this fix the problem just out of interest?
