Slow to boot

Hey all,

I've got a problem with my computer. It can take anywhere from 5-20 minutes to post or wake up from sleep.

I've recently moved house and the computer worked fine previously, I've checked everything is seated correctly and plugged in just in case something came loose during travel. The only thing that's different is that the room is significantly colder than my previous house.

Spec is [email protected], Abit IP35, 4Gb Gskill.

I can't figure out what's causing it, as sometimes it takes a few minutes, sometimes it can take up to 20.

Any ideas?

I would start by looking in the bios? It sounds like a device/component is causing your post to hang for whatever reason. Could be a ram issue? Try running on basic config like one stick of ram, remove any expansion cards & then if the problem disappears, start feeding things back to see who is the culprit. Those are my first thoughts
